Tips to have Great 2012

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!! After the roller coaster ride of 2011, any moment by now, we will celebrate the arrival of 2012. As the TV shows set their best episodes, News will have their year-end specials, we also reminisce the happenings of 2011 in our life. 365 1/4 days of waking up, being well and accepting the love, mercy and life from God. Hey, you reader, yes, you are alive for you are reading this one.

There is only one who must be glorified, of course, our God! I would say that your 2011 did not exist without troubles and downs in that year. Everything is in balance because God is in control. How amazing our God is for He directs every individual on this planet on remarkable plans! How merciful and gracious He is for everyday in our lives, even though we don't deserve the grace we are acquiring it through Jesus! Everyday we ate, we drank, we laugh, we cry, we fail, we succeed, we move, we scratch, we take bath, we love, we study, we tweet and we we we we and wees.... put them together = LOVE of God. Thank you God for all from my heart.

This 2012, would be more exciting! I'm sure you'll be having a great year especially when Jesus is in control! here are some tips for a great 2012! :

1. Working out more of our Faith - "Believe in His name!"
"Lord I will have this thing in your name", "Jesus, I will do this and I can have this".... yup! Put more of your Faith! Because nothing is impossible. You are a child of child and believe that God is in favor of you. You have the power for the Spirit of the Lord is in us. Look at this, the name of "JESUS" is already a promise. Now have your faith work out for you could move mountains! Are you afraid that you are not prepared for something this year? well Work your faith more!

SAY:  "This 2012! I would believe in your name and work my faith!!"

2. Don't make a new year's resolution - "trash the list!"
Yup! For 70-90% don't really have accomplish them. It's only at start is good. Few months later it would subside. Now, I am not against it but it's true. Why? It's because you are changing something through only Human Strength. True Change when Jesus intervenes in that weakness, struggles or etc. Many people's resolutions are : not smoking, not drinking alcohol, diet, not being late, study harder, change bad attitudes and so on, are not effective if only relying on human strength. Pray that Jesus would help you about that you want to change. Let God do it. Yes there is part of the human strength but God would do the best, believe me! I pray to God that you would overcome that. Phil 4:13 "I can do anything through Christ who strengthens me". Well, that's the best verse for it.

Say : "It's not only I part of this change in 2012 but more of you Jesus!!"

3. Forget the past, Strain Forward - "Bro/sis, it's not the end"
My life verse is Phil. 3:13-14b "...Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead,  I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus." And I would love to paraphrase it to my version - "Forgetting backward, Straining Forward toward Heavenward". How nice to know that you could get up again when you sin, fail, fall down! If you have grudge in 2011, well, this year is your year! Believe it! It's your choice!  We have the power to choose! Use your free will to get up and be mature! I would like to focus about "straining" mentioned at the verse. To get up from your fall is hard, that's straining forward. Are you giving up? that comes the power of choice! are you choosing not to continue and to somber at the place of fall down as you see others pass you by. Get up as Jesus said to the paralytic men mentioned in bible. These sick people are longing to rise again. And with Jesus, their hopes fulfilled. Remember the #1. :).

Say: "This 2012, I will move on and make the best out of it!!"

4. Value others around you - "Indeed, Life is short"
Life time is so short that you need to value the moments of your family, loveones, friends, relatives and neighbors. Children, value your parents for if they are strong today but later they would become weak so value them. Share also Jesus for they would be also saved. Pray for your community, your country, and the world. Just like Jesus cares for you, care also for others. In this world today, I am seeing the cloud of ego-centrism where people only care about themselves. Let's make a change simply starting on us. I'm sure you would have a great year if you do this! The heartfelt compassion to others and the value of family is so good. If you have any misunderstanding or conflict to any person, well this 2012, you could have change. Just like Jesus forgave us, you need also to forgive others! How good it is to see people having their boundaries resolved. I know it's hard for you at first, but you could do it! remember #3?

Say, "This 2012, I would value others especially my love ones, family, friends and neighbors! I would also forgive and forget"

5. In everything you do, Do it for the Lord - "I will honor and Please God!"

Indeed! For He hold your years! He is holding the future and the coming 2012! Col. 3:2. If you please God with your faith and favor, He would surely bless you in every way.

Say, " This 2012, you are part of my life, and I would do it to glorify your name!"

I pray for this 2012 would be more banging and exciting and fulfilling!!!! God you are the center of our lives. Direct us on what you want us to be. For as 2012 comes, you may be glorified in this borrowed life. Thank you Lord Jesus!  HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! BANNGGGGGG!!

Jesus Greatest Gift of All

It's been a while since the last blog entry and any moment by now it's CHRISTmas!
My great reverence to the birth of Jesus Christ is deep for our God sent his only son, Jesus, not to live but to die for our sins. First thing to know that we must know the essence and true meaning of Christmas - the Birth of Jesus Christ! Here are some concepts that the first Christmas is not as the Christmas celebration you know these days.

For Jesus did not really welcomed in this world.
At Chapter 2, King Herod and others who are powerful are so worried that King of the Jews was born. Herod even deceived the wise men to find him so that "he may worship Him" (Matt. 2:8) but the really intention is to kill this child.  I saw even today that there are "HEROD ATTITUDE", we are killing the celebration by not focusing the real CHRISTmas - GIFTS, FOODS, SANTA CLAUS, PARTY or even Mary.
Luke 2:7b "...laid him on a bed of hay, because there was no room for them in the inn". Jesus Christ is born in a stable, well I don't know if it's stinky, dirty or there's noisy animals but still at the time of His birth He is not welcomed. Joseph, the earthly father, almost call off Mary because of birth of Jesus.

For Jesus is not destined to live but to die
To die because of our sins. The lamb who was slain is worthy to be praised. Rather for man to die, God made a way to save us because He loves us. His love is incomparable that I feel I don't deserve it but I believe in it's power.

GOOD NEWS is....
As you could see at Matt. 1:23, "He will be called, Immanuel, which means, "God with us.". In his name there's already love and compassion that God is really with us! My heart is really thankful of Jesus' Birth to this world.
The good news is He died but lived again! The death did not end the power of God. Showing the promise of eternal life who believe in His name. " For God so loved the world that He gave is only Son that whosoever believeth in Him shall not perish but have eternal life" John 3:16.

This is the video song entry of this blog titled Mary Did you know. Credits to uploader... :) Have a blessed CHRISTmas and Prosperous New Year!! Keep tune to my blogs.

Christian versus Lizard

It was night. I was praying and meditating to God and then I started to think of problems, worries and some crumples in life. Then suddenly I looked up at the ceiling and I saw three house lizards. I noticed that they always standby crawling slowly around the fluorescent lights. The nature of some insects is to fly around and attracted to lights. And then, once the insects reached the limit near to the florescent lights, the house lizard would attack the insect and eventually the dinner is served. After the tasty meal, these three lizards just play around the ceiling with their little squeaks of excitement. I see these lizards are blessed. They just wait for their food, they don't have house but they lived on big houses of humans (they are more blessed if they are on a mansion, LOL). And when the time of danger, they could escape easily with their defense mechanism of having their tails removed easily then run away leaving their tails. They seem don't worry about their lives. I have reflections going on my head and I smiled. And oh I remembered what PROVERBS 30:24-28

24 There are four things that are small on the earth, but they are very wise:
25 The ants are not a strong people, but they store up their food in the summer.
26 The badgers are not a strong people, but they make their houses in the rocks.
27 The locusts have no king, but they go as an army.
28 You can take the lizard in your hands, but it is found in kings’ houses.

So much for a Lizard, eh? LOL, But there is a verse in bible just for us! You know what is it? It's at Matthew 6:25-34

25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith? 31 So do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.

I wonder if I would converse to a lizard?? That would be silly?? If I were this would I say:

Hey House Lizard! Your so blessed to live at my house!
You have no home but your my boarder without pay
You don't work but you are not hungry
Because the Lord God give you your tasty insects at your dining florescent lamp table
You just play with your party animal lizards
You seem don't worry about life...
I tell you this,
Im not irritated with your silly squeak
I am more special to you, haha!
Our main creator said, "are you much more valuable than they?"
Yup you said it with your squeaky lips!
I don't have to worry, why worry!
Just like you! LOL
like the bible said that no christian have not yet become hungry
Yes I am Special! Why? If you die lizard, where would you be?
I don't know to you but I have eternal life in heaven
Problems? Worries? Crumples in life? Sickness? Pain? Sadness?
NAH! I'm not of this world! I'm from Jesus!
I am a child of God, my Father is Jesus
So, where would I be, If I'm not with His Love!
I'm more than anything of this world
better remember that squeaky, haha!
(the Lizard just squeaked and run away)

What a silly conversation?! haha! Maybe I would be a novelist! haha! on that passage on Matthew, there was something also that I noticed at verse 30, ".... you of little Faith". This is a challenge to have more faith that nothing is impossible in God in times of worry! God bless you everyone!

Death is not a period, but a comma

Credits to my Cellgroup advisers for the concept.
I have a friend who died recently from cancer. He is our fellow christian, church worker, cellgroup leader, and a man of God. We couldn't believe in would happen. It happened unexpectedly and surprisingly to a man without any vices, healthy living, and of course to a child of God. No one will ever imagine that my friend will have this cancer. We have labored prayer, begging to extend his life. Still, the Lord had its holy decision to take away the life of this brother. It hurts because he is a worker of God, asset of church and really a big loss. I have attended the funeral service today and some mixed concepts that I reflected on death when they testified or shared the moments we had on this brother.

1. Death is not the ending. It is not ended with a period it is succeeded with comma.
2. Death is like a wind coming forth to you, you cannot stop it.
3. Life is so short, make the most out of it, especially together with your love ones.
4. A Christian especially a real worker of God when died is a BIG LOSS but BIG gain for him/her for he/she is in the Lord now
5. Through the process of suffering until death time, we learn to ask more of God and the Faith is being tested.
6. God's glory, power, sovereignty upon us never changes upon the death
7. Everything has a purpose.
8. God's thoughts and ways are higher than ours, just like the heavens as high from earth.
9. Your Life is in God's hands!
10. When you have accepted Jesus Christ and personal savior with all your heart and confessed that you are a sinner and you need a savior and also you lived according to His purpose.... you are prepared even to death comes.
See you again my friend. We will miss everything in you. Your in the Lord now and now you will see this promise of God at John 14.1-6:

Do not let your hearts be troubled. Believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house there are many dwelling places. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, so that where I am, there you may be also. And you know the way to the place where I am going.' Thomas said to him, 'Lord, we do not know where you are going. How can we know the way?' Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'

Death is not ended with a period but continuously by comma. More to come and amazing is yet to come. Now for those who are still alive like me , lol, continue to live through Jesus and when that they comes Jesus will tell to us, "Well done my faithful servant!"

Broom, Dustpan & Repentance

        BROOM, DUSTPAN and REPENTANCE

I really noticed that almost everyday we are cleaning our house. There's no day that I would wake up in the morning still dust, falling hairs, papers (from my sister's homework stuffs), some small insects (from last night), and all dirt from the floor. Good thing there's our Broom and Dustpan. Sometimes I would say, "Lord why there are dusts?" LOL... But like swinging out the dust with the broom and putting in to dustpan, I reflected something about Repentance.

Repentance is like everyday cleaning of your house. Dust and dirt is inevitable so as sin in your lives because we are not perfect. I remembered one Pastor said, "Repentance must be Everyday Revival". It means surrendering everyday our lives to God. The effort in cleaning our house everyday is just like it. Remember no matter how messy yourself is, if you effort come to the Lord to ask for cleaning.... He is Faithful to accept you again just like the prodigal son who have lost his way but now found! Praise Jesus for the everlasting grace and Love he gave upon us especially to those persons who give up their pride and come to his throne of grace of forgiveness.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

This is the youtube clip about repentance. Try check it out! Credits to the uploader,

Power of Humility (original content by Doug Britton)

I just want to share this one about humility from my friend (originally by Doug Britton).

The Bible Shows the Power in Humility
(Understanding the Meaning of Humility in the Bible)
(c) 2008 Doug Britton
Clothe yourselves with humility toward one another, because God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (1 Peter 5:5).

God and humility: The meaning of humility in the Bible
Many people have the wrong idea about God, the Bible and humility, or being humble. They think being humble means groveling in front of others or thinking we're no good and others are good.
That’s not the Bible's picture. God says when you are humble, you are free from pride and arrogance. You know that in your flesh you are inadequate, yet you also know who you are in Christ.
You don't need to defend yourself when you understand the Bible's picture of humility, for you know who you are in Christ. You are able to be a peacemaker without needing to fight for your rights. You are able to walk humbly in the power of God’s Holy Spirit, not your own personal power.
Godly humility is being comfortable with who you are in the Lord and therefore putting others first. The meaning of humility in the Bible is one of loving others, not being a wimp!
Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves (Philippians 2:3).
In the Bible, we see that Jesus gave us a good example of humility in action. Although he was humble, he also was strong.
I am gentle and humble in heart (Matthew 11:29).
Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death—even death on a cross! (Philippians 2:5-8).
Humility in action
Many people misunderstand the Bible, God and humility. The following statements show the power in humility.
You can defuse arguments when you are humble.
You do not need to stand up for yourself in an angry manner. And you do not have to win every argument.
A gentle answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger (Proverbs 15:1).
You can handle unfair treatment peacefully when you are humble.
You can respond to unfair treatment without being overcome by bitterness. Godly humility means you do not feel a need for vengeance or revenge.
Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you (Ephesians 4:31-32).
You do not have to put on a "false front" when you are humble.
When you understand God and humility, you don't need to act like a big shot. The better you know God, the less you have to prove.
You can eat "humble pie" without being crushed when you are humble.
When you are humble, you can respond to and learn from criticism without defensiveness—whether it is deserved or not deserved. Likewise, you can be aware of your failures without being emotionally devastated.
You can ask forgiveness when you are humble.
Even if you think you are only one percent wrong, you can easily apologize for what you did wrong.
Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift (Matthew 5:23-24).
You can talk with the right attitude when you are humble.
You can talk courteously and lovingly, regardless of the situation—even if you need to be firm or take strong actions.
Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen (Ephesians 4:29).
Being humble does not mean being a wimp.
As I already wrote, many people misunderstand humility. The following statements correct three inaccurate pictures of humility.
Bible-based humility does not mean groveling.
When I humble myself, I feel strong in the Lord. I don't need to be defensive.
Bible-based humility isn't being unaware of your gifts or calling.
Although we should avoid self-pride, godly humility does not mean we should pretend we are unaware of the gifts God has given us. The key is to remember that they are from God.
Although I am less than the least of all of God’s people, this grace was given to me: to preach to the gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ (Ephesians 3:8).
I am not in the least inferior to the "super-apostles," even though I am nothing (2 Corinthians 12:11).
Bible-based humility does not mean never speaking directly.
When God says to be humble, he it lets us know we must examine our motives and attitudes. We also must examine how we take action.
But there are times when we need to take strong actions. Here are two examples of taking strong actions while maintaining a humble spirit:
Jesus was meek of spirit, yet he chased the moneychangers out of the temple (Matthew 21:12 and Mark 11:15-16).
As an employer, I can discipline or fire someone, yet do so quietly and gently.
God and humility: Enjoy the power in humility.
The results from understanding what the Bible says about God and humility are more successful than those from an taking arrogant approach. (When you are humble, you are likely to have more influence than when you fight abrasively.) Even if your results are not successful, you have the joy and pleasure of having acted in a godly manner; you are a winner even if you do not "win," when you you understand the meaning of humility in the Bible and put it into practice.
